Capital Chimney has been in the chimney and duct cleaning business since 1980.
Denis Ste. Marie, owner/operator, was trained and certified in Stowe, Vermont, in 1976. Denis started a small chimney sweep business on the West Island in Montreal.
The business relocated to Ottawa in 1980. Capital Chimney started on the road to becoming one of the largest and most successful chimney cleaning companies in the region.
Over the years, it has increased its customer base and has been able to expand into other related fields.

Wood Energy Technical Training (WETT) is an organization that provides training and instruction to chimney sweeps to ensure that Code compliance is adhered to by the customer, which is strongly supported by the home insurance industry of Canada.
